NZ Part 2. In early December 2005 I hiked the Routeburn Track, one of New Zealand's "Great Walks". During the 3-day trip I stayed in two different huts run by the Department of Conservation.

andrewg > Lake Harris, near the Harris Saddle. This is a view from halfway up Conical Hill. You get up Conical Hill by taking a side spur from the main track. The spur is mostly a 30-minute hands-and-knees gravel scramble, turning into steep reaching and climbing towards the end.
