NZ Part 5. In December 2005, after walking the Routeburn and Kepler Tracks I headed north on the South Island of New Zealand. These pictures were taken on the way to Wanaka.
Atop Mt. Iron, just outside of Wanaka. It's a 45-minute climb from the base to the geodetic marker here at the summit. The trail passes through sheep grazing land and dense foliage, and ends at the summit with clear views like this.
